License agreement

License Agreement

Describes the license terms for the Deskfast boilerplate source after you complete a purchase. Until v1 ships and you receive the source, the Terms of Service govern your relationship with us.

Last updated May 12, 2026

What you get

The license

A single-buyer license to use the Deskfast boilerplate source code for the lifetime of your purchase. One purchase covers one buyer, unlimited apps.

Permitted use

  • Clone the Deskfast repository and use it as the foundation for apps you ship commercially under your own brand
  • Modify, extend, and fork the code privately
  • Sublicense your end product (the apps you build) to your customers under your own terms
  • Build unlimited apps from one purchase, with no per-app or per-user fees back to us

What you can't do

Redistribution

You may not redistribute the Deskfast boilerplate in its original form, or in a form substantially identical to the original, to anyone outside your team.

Public exposure

You may not make the unmodified Deskfast source publicly available. That includes public Git repositories, public gists, code snippets in blog posts, or any other channel that exposes the boilerplate verbatim to non-buyers.

Branding

You may not use the Deskfast name, mark, or branding in a way that implies your product is officially endorsed by, partnered with, or built by Deskfast.

Copyright notices

You may not remove or alter the copyright notices in the source. Your own additions and modifications belong to you.

Updates

Lifetime updates

You get lifetime access to updates of the boilerplate codebase. Updates are pushed to the same repository you receive on launch day.

Optional adoption

You decide when, and whether, to pull updates into your own fork. We will not push changes into your customer-facing apps without your action.

Transferability

This license is personal to you, the original buyer. It is not transferable to another individual or organization unless we agree to a transfer in writing. If your company is acquired, the license can continue with the acquiring entity on request.

Termination

On breach

The license terminates automatically if you breach any of the restrictions above. On termination, you must stop distributing apps that include the Deskfast code and delete your copies of the boilerplate.

Apps already shipped

Apps you have already shipped to your customers before termination remain licensed under the terms in place at the time you distributed them. Your customers are not affected by your license ending.

Warranty

The boilerplate is provided "as is." See the Disclaimers section in the Terms of Service for the full statement.
